    There doesn't appear to be a vocabulary of parts used, but in this, one of the first patents applied for (1944) they are referred to as 'grooves'.

    I'm only familiar with "fork entry", bronchipret. That's not to say that the other suggestions are wrong, just that I don't have time to google them;-). More modern patents than the one odondon found certainly use "fork entry". "2" in the drawing in this patent is a "fork entry":
