Nein. Es handelt sich leider um einen Fragebogen von einem Institut, dass Nachhilfeunterricht anbietet, und zwar auch in Englisch. Korrigiert wurde ich von der Person, die für die Einstellung der Englischlehrer zuständig ist.

Ich finde das sehr inkompetent und unprofessionell. Da werd ich wohl doch noch mal eine Bemerkung fallen lassen.

Well thanks, Mike. I don't really think that I'm unqualified. I'm at least a lot more qualified than the teachers they employ at present. ;-)

Ja, ihr habt ja recht, aber die kümmern sich wenigstens um die ganze Verwaltung und vermitteln mir meine Schüler. Ich werd auch erstmal lieber Deutsch unterrichten. Da gibt's mehr Geld zu holen ;-)) und es geht auch nur um ein paar Stunden pro Woche.

@#4: macpet: to live out does not mean überleben - yes, I know it's in LEO, but it's wrong anyway. If you want to "überleben" bread and butter, you'd have to say "to outlive the bread and butter." You can, on the other hand, live out your life peacefully and/or in seclusion, if you like, but that particular LEO entry - to live out = überleben - is wrong.

Is there a chance to hand this matter to the LEO-Staff? I was getting confused now...

Before I do that, I was thinking that maybe we should hear from some BE speakers about this, because before I categorically claim that something's wrong and possibly make a fool of myself, I should probably get some BE opinions first, since BE often has phrases and terms that no sane American would dare put in his/her mouth. :-)

You can live on/off and subsist on/off things (e.g. live off the land).
