    Ich mach grad mein Praktikum an einer Schule und die Lehrerin gebraucht für die Aufforderung die Bücher zu schließen immer "Shut your books" oder eben "Shut your folders" wenns die Hefte sind. Für mich klingt das aber sehr fremd, auch in meiner Zeit im Ausland kam mir nur "close" unter.
    Ist "shut" ok, oder würde ein Engländer das nie sagen?

    Well, my teachers of English always said "Close your books" (or whatever).

    But please note, they are not native speakers of English :( Probably "shut" is also ok.
