    So wurde der Bereich von ca. 50% der Gebäudegrundfläche, mit der das Hotel auf dem Fernbahntunnel der DB steht, mittels einer Lastverteilerplatte für die höheren Lasten ertüchtigt. Darüber wurde ein zusätzliches Masse-Feder-System, u.a. mit einer mächtigen Impedanzplatte, erforderlich.

    Masse-Feder-System = mass-spring-system

    Impedanzplatte = impedance sheet (panel, plate)

    Thus the area of about 50 % of the surface of the building, of which the hotel is standing on the underground railway of the DB, was strengthened to bear higher loads by means of a load-distribution plate. An additional mass-spring-system, among others with a thick impedance sheet, was essential on top of that.
