Ja. auch, aber nicht ausschließlich. Woman, tree und popcorn sind auch in Nordamerika gebräuchlich, und trotzdem steht - richtigerweise - nicht Amer. dahinter, weil die Wörter eben auch anderswo gebräuchlich sind.
