    Vollreinigung (Kläranlage)

    Sources
    Um einen möglichen Ausbau der Kläranlage auf eine Vollreinigung resp. den Bau einer zweiten Strasse zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt zu ermöglichen und die Zugänglichkeit der Becken und Gebäude zu gewährleisten, muss Platz freigehalten werden.

    Space must be kept free to allow for the possible expansion of the sewage treatment plant to a full treatment plant, the construction of a second road at a later date and to ensure the accessibility of the reservoirs and buildings.

    I am not sure what the best translation for "Vollreinigung" would be, and am really confused about the "resp."... can anyone help me?

    resp. steht hier für respektive und bedeutet das gleiche wie im Englischen.

    resp. = respektive

    refers to two different scenarios in which more space is needed, one being the possible expansion the other being the second road at a later time

    "Vollreinigung" refers to the grade to which water will be cleaned, in this case "fully" as in drinking quality, I assume.

    resp. = respektive = the German favorite bzw. = and/or

    Vollreinigung can also mean " full purging of the system."

    Wow! Thanks for the speedy answers!
    That's what I thought, "with respect to", but the source sentence still seems awkward... oh well...
    I think in this case I can leave my translation, I just left the "resp." out... if anyone disagrees, pls let me know... ;o)
