    statt aller

    Context/ examples
    Fußnoten:
1 Vgl. statt aller Mustermann, Die Verwendung von "statt aller" in wissenschaftlichen Zitaten, Der Paragraphenreiter 2004, 150, 157.
    Comment
used for exemplary footnote citations of what is commonly acknowledged by (almost) everyone working in the field, in scientific writing & in particular in Legalese

Anything more appropriate than "e.g." or "inter alia"?

1 Cf. e.g. Mustermann, Treatises on Acronym Abuse, 15:1 Bad Style Review 2004, p. 10

<hochschieb>...(sorry) - niemand eine Idee? / suggestions, anyone?

    Suggestion(pars) per toto

    Suggestioninstead of all others
    Context/ examples

Suggestionwhich is an excellent summary of this argument, as made by many other authors

I don't know of any standard phrase in English. Although "pars per toto" might work for someone who knows Latin, it would probably not be understood by most readers. "Instead of all others" I think would just puzzle the reader.

    I'd rephrase it something like:

Many authors have made this point. See (reference....) for a particularly good summarization [or summary] of the current state of research.

Or: See Keller (page 117), who is generally acknowledged as the best (or standard) authority on this issue.
