    I had a nice weekend, weil heute Montag ist.

    "I have had..." kannst du nur sagen, wenn das Wochenende noch andauert (I have had a nice weekend so far).

    Das Wochenende ist (leider) vorbei. Somit handelt es ich um eine Auskunft, die sich auf die einfache Vergangenheit bezieht.
