    Hüttentour ist im Bereich des Bergsports ein stehender Begriff für eine mehrtägige, alpine Wanderung mit Übernachtung auf Berghütten. Ich könnte nur ganz platt mit "hut trip" oder "hut tour" übersetzen, suche aber nach einem ähnlich treffenden Begriff im Englischen. Gibt es den überhaupt oder wie umschreibe ich die Hüttentour am besten?

    For one thing, "hut" would be a misnomer; they're generally called "cabins" (at least in AE). Secondly, they're not very well known beyond the Alpine region (IMO) so you're probably going to have to explain it. Maybe something like a hike through the mountains and spending the nights at various cabins.

    Ich kenne diese alpinen Hütten ehrlich gesagt auch nur als 'huts'. 'Cabin' ist glaube ich eher so eine amerikanische Blockhütte.

    I've also read the word "cabana" used for this kind of huts, but to me "cabin" indeed sounds better than hut.
