kam grad gestern bei TV total. NTV hatte ein Interview mit George Lucas und der Übersetzer übersetzte may the force be with you mit:

"am vierten mai sind wir bei euch"

Funny that you ask about Yoda - I just read the Star Wars II in German, and that was the first (only?) question my husband asked me about it. "How do they do Yoda in German?"

I am not one of those people that can quote movies, but basically, Yoda says:
Well fought, you have.
Try, you must.

or, my favorite:
Try not. Do, or do not.

@lu - That is so terrible! I can just picture the German accent say "May te fours", but I can't believe the translator missed it.

That reminds me of watching Melrose Place with Dutch subtitles - once at Thanksgiving Matt's mother said, I made your favorite, squash!
And it was translated as something like "I made you Kool-aid" (using the British squash instead of the American)
