    English missing

    über die Lautsprecher ausgegeben

    Subject

    über die Lautsprecher ausgegeben

    Hallo!

    announce through the speakers

in mad's case, the speakers would be persons.

However, here I might not even use speakers; instead maybe something like "intercom system." Or how does your sentence work? On the radio?

Surely relayed and announced would both suggest that the speakers were active "agents".

    What about amplified or transmitted?

Any native speakers out there got any better suggestions?

Personally, I'd like to know what is meant by "Das Gespräch wird über die Lautsprecher ausgegeben/übertragen" in reference to a car.

The conversation is transmitted through the/your car stereo speakers

Like I said in my first posting, it is about hands-free systems for telephoning in a car. So, "the conversation is ........... via the car speakers". I am missing the word for "ausgegeben/übertragen".

    @dude, we're talking about a hands-free car kit here.

    See the original post.

in that case; @ AE NAive: I did look at the OP and it still left me confused (obviously).

    Transmitted via/over/through the car speakers.

sorry, I meant Native; apparently you were confused as well, though; "stereo speakers"?

@dude: That's OK. We all get confused sometimes. I tend to spend most of my life being confused.
And when the vuvuzelas get cranked up tonight, I'll be more than confused.

Doesn't it mean through the 4000-watt, 3-way 16-speaker system in your car as opposed to through the phone's built-in speker?

Thank you very much! That's what I was looking for, it was on the tip of my tongue, just couldn't coax it out any further!

dude: I hope your "Naive" was a genuine typo.

so it's definitely a car speakerphone system.

Wellllll, dude, I'm assuming this hands-free car kit is hooked up to the car's stereo system, in which case the conversation would be transmitted via the car's stereo speakers. But what the heck, I'll just go with "via/over the car's speakers".

Another possibility might perhaps be "reproduced".
