    Meine Freunde haben mir gesagt, dass es eine Unterschied zwischen besetzung und besatzung. Besetzung kommt erst und dann kommt besatzung, aber ich finde das koemisch und ich weiss nicht was sie meinen.

    Besetzung ist "cast" (of a play/film...), Besatzung ist "crew/staff" (of a ship ..). Meinst Du das mit "zuerst"? Geht es um einen Filmabspann? Im Deutschen heißt die Filmcrew aber nicht "Besatzung".

    militärisch ist die Besetzung die Übernahme der Gewalt über eine Stadt oder Ortschaft, die anwesenden Soldaten sind die "Besetzer" oder die "Besatzung"

    Would this be correct? Besetzung would be the occupying, ie, the process of taking over, and besatzung would the occupation that follows?
