Merkwürdige Anfrage. Kann man eine Pizza denn auch ohne Backblech backen?

Dorit, geht es Dir vielleicht um die geometrische Form der Pizzastücke, also Rechtecke anstelle der auf runden Backblechen oder im Holz/Stein/Pizzaofen gebackenen runden 'artisanalen' Pizza? (Letztere brauchen kein Backblech, Holger ;)
Wie wäre es denn dann mit pizza slice(s)?

Pizza is pizza - no matter what shape.

If it's in squares, we just call it "square pizza" around here (but this might be regional? I don't know why it would be, but some areas are very particular about their pizza)

Beleuchtet von echtem Halbwissen - zumindest das, was in D als "Pan-Pizza" verkauft wird, ist nicht "Blechpizza".
Pan-Pizza wird meist als Pfannenpizza mit relativ dickem Boden beschrieben.
Blechpizza halt analog zu Blechkuchen.
Ob die deutsche Pan-Pizza jetzt etwas mit englischer oder amerikanischer zu tun hat?

Basically it is just pizza, as Thomas says, but if you want to be more specific you could try these descriptive variations.

"Pan pizza" is made in a round pan, so is not the same thing. Hanna's "square pizza" sounds fairly descriptive, though I haven't heard it myself.
Werner's "pizza slices" is also a reasonable suggestion, though it could also mean a wedge-shaped slice...
