    Kann man das als letzten Satz in einem Brief so stehen lassen, ohne dass es abrupt oder unfreundlich klingt? Gibt es eine freundliche und verbindlichere Alternative?

    Wie immer hab ich eine Kleinigkeit im Kontext vergessen (diesmal, dass es formal sein sollte)... bitte nicht übelnehmen.

    I think you made a bad choice with "We will stay in contact"!
    Are you a loan shark threatening the person who loaned money from you? It sounds like a command, not like something friendly you put at the end of a letter.
    For personal letters, the other alternatives offered were much better:
    Stay in touch
    Keep in touch
    For business letters,
    I look forward to hearing from you
    or
    I am looking forward to hearing from you
