    characteristic or character ? tech.

    Correct?

With increasing temperatures the endothermic characteristic/character of the reaction gets stronger.

is it characteristic or character in this case? (from german "Charakteristic")

"Endothermic character of the reaction" is the most common way of saying this. I wouldn't say that "endothermic characteristic" is wrong, but it sounds slightly odd.

I agree with GeorgeA and, by the way, "temperature" should be singular.

You could also say "increases" rather than "gets stronger", but that's nitpicking! ;)
