Comment | 1. Folie 11th of September 2001– The worst day in the USA (etwas reißerisch, aber gut ... klingt auch etwas unvollständig "the worst day" of what? The 20th century? In the history of the USA?)
2. Folie On the morning 11th September 2001, the the worst terrrorist attack of our time took place. Many people from all over the world sat down stunned in front of their TVs (Mehrzahl, nicht Genitiv!). Four planes were hijacked (shortly?) after [unnötig: their] take off and within one and a half hours, they targeted [hier falsch:on] important American buildings.
3. Folie The first plane, American Airlines flight number 11, which originally was to fly from Bosten to Los Angeles, flew into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York[löschen:.] at 8.45 a.m. On board the Boeing 767, there were 92 people.
4. Folie 18 minutes later, at 9.03 a.m., the second plane crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. There were 65 persons on board United Airlines flight number 175 .
5. Folie When the second plane hit the tower, everyone realized that it was a terrorist attack. The planes were fully loaded with fuel and so they were like big fire bombs Sagt man das wirklich so?. The towers were immediately on fire.
6. Folie Desperate and helpless people on the top floors jumped down out of the windows.
7. Folie Exactly at 9.45 a.m., the third plane crashed into the Pentagon in Washington D.C. . The Boeing 757 was like a big fire bomb, too. This plane had been scheduled to go to San Fransisco. On board the American Airlines flight number 77 were 64 people. This was still not the end of the attacks.
8. Folie At 10.10 a.m. the fourth hijacked plane crashed near Pittsburgh in Pensylvania and came down in a woodland area. Everybody thought that this plane had been targeted at either the White House or Camp David. Passengers[löschen:,] who had heard of the other attacks by mobile phone joined forces and to overpowered the hijackers. (Wenn Du planned schreibst, ist nicht sicher, ob sie es auch in die Tat umgesetzt haben) Perhaps these passengers prevented a bigger tragedy. On bord of the United Airlines flight 93, there were 45 persons.
9. Folie At 10.05 a.m. the South Tower of the WTC collapsed. 23 minutes later, at 10.28 a.m. the North Tower collapsed as well.
10. Folie Pedestrians near the WTC ran for their lives.
11. Folie 4 underground stations and 23 buildings around the WTC collapsed too. These pictures speaks s löschen for themselves.
12. Folie The whole area was clouded in dust.
13. Folie Many helpers searched for survivors. The search was very dangerous and difficult. To this day, hundreds of people are missing (oder: have never been found).
14. Folie In this terrorist attack, about 3000 people died [löschen: altogether]. 2600 people died in the WTC, amongst them were 30 Germans and 35 firemen. 266 died in the hijacked planes. 125 people died in the Pentagon.
15. Folie It is thought that Osama Bin Laden and his group: klingt etwas schwachAL-Qaida were responsible for these attacks. (Wissen wir das?) The attacks were very well organized. The search for Osama bin Laden ist still going on.
16. Folie We will never forget these terrible attacks.
