Lucidity kommt mir komisch vor da, und as a matter of ist auch schief in diesem Zusammenhang. Ein kurzes Überfliegen der alten Diskussionen zum Thema "aus Gründen der Übersichtlichkeit" etc. (s. z. B. Dictionary: der übersichtlichkeit unten) erweckt bei mir den Eindruck, dass (for the sake of) clarity hier besser ist.

Ist "for the sake of sth." nicht ein wenig pathetisch in diesem doch recht nüchternen Zusammenhang? (Oder ist es nur mein deutsches Sprachempfinden, das sich hier querstellt? ^^)

Lies mal die Diskussionen. Da wird auch z. B. for clarity reasons vorgeschlagen, ist noch kürzer.

In the interests of clarity...

For the sake of clarity... is idiomatc; "To keep it simple,..." is more informal, but works too I'd say...

I used "for reasons of clarity" and hope it will be understandable for my Bavarian English professor ;)
