Discovered on the banks of the River Ayr sometome [!] before 1853, and introduced by Scottish nurseryman Thomas Lang, this Weeping Pussy Willow offers graceful, pendulous branches clothed in silky silver catkins that appear in early spring before the shiny foliage. Auf Stämmchen veredelt wachsen die Zweige in engen Bögen nach unten. Verglichen mit der Wildform ist der Wuchs weit schwächer. Es sind nur männliche Pflanzen bekannt.
