    I know normally it should be "In line ten there is a mistake."
    However I am sure I've heard people leave out the "there" as is possible in German.
    Nevertheless as a teacher I should classify a sentence like that as incorrect, shouldn't I. If not, is there any rule for exeptions to the normal word order?

    It sounds wrong to me. I would also translate the sentence as "There is a mistake in line 10"
