    If somebody goes on a journey, he has a lot to tell about.

    Ich möchte als Aufhänger für einen Reisebericht die Redensart "Wenn einer eine Reise tut, dann kann er was erzählen." verwenden. Gibt es dafür eine Entsprechung im Englischen oder ist es besser, diesen Satz wortwörtlich zu übersetzen?

    I am not sure whether "to talk" is the right verb in this case, for it relates to the action made while the trip is in progress. "To tell about" relates to the action which somebody may take on after the trip is completed. However I can be wrong.
