    Ist das in englischen Dokumenten unüblich? Ich habe nach der Kombination gesucht und hauptsächlich übersetzte Formulare auf deutschen Seiten gefunden.

    Ich habe mich schon oft gefragt, wozu man in Deutschland bei Unterschriften immer den Ort angeben soll.

    I'm not familiar with the practice of specifying the place when signing documents in English, but I'm not an expert. And when you're translating a document, I figure everything that's there in German has to be translated into English. So, is "Place" the best choice for "Ort"? I assume so, but if anyone more familiar with the field of law has a better idea, I'm all ears! (or eyes?)

    I have been registering our Company for trade fair exhibition space for 15 years and can confirm that the insistence of Ort, Datum, Unterschrift was something to get used to. Place, Date, Signature seem perfectly appropriate translations and I can confirm that (BE) English forms very rarely ask for much further to signature (and credit card details LOL).


    However, there is one thing which, to my mind, has been forgotten here - the insistence in German-speaking countries on a company stamp (Firmenstempel).

    No. 4: Eine deutsche Firma braucht nicht notwendig einen Firmenstempel. Ich war mal in einem weltweiten Integrationsprojekt, da mußten wir für Dokumente, die in Rußland usw. vorgelegt werden sollten, eigens einen Firmenstempel für die deutsche Muttergesellschaft anfertigen lassen - vorher war sie ohne ausgekommen.
