Bei LEO gibts bislang nur das Nomen "stake(-)out" - "die Observierung".
Aber es gibt ja noch drei Verbalausdrücke. Die Vorschläge oben sind nur erste Ansätze.

Im CALD gibt es nur die Bedeutungen 1 & 2: stake sth out (MAKE CLEAR) phrasal verb:

Im MWO wiederum etwas anders:
1) to assign (as a police officer) to an area usually to conduct a surveillance
2) to maintain a stakeout of
3) to claim as one's own
