    ... aber "gut" heißt nicht nur sicher, sondern auch zügig, ohne Behinderung (z.B. durch Verkehrsstau, Zugverspätung) ...

    noli's version is fine but if you're not so keen on it you could say:
    I hope the journey went well / I hope you had a good journey


    However, you wouldn't say I hope you arrived well.

    For "zügige Fahrt ohne Behinderung", we'd say "smooth journey" in AE.

    What about:
    I hope you had a smooth journey and arrived safely.
    or:
    I hope you had a safe and smooth journey.
