    I would translate it as "I look forward to hearing from you."

    "I'd like to hear from you" is more like "Ich würde mich freuen, (mal wieder) von dir zu hören."

    I might say: "I am looking forward to hearing from you."

    I just found a blog (okay not a great source) on the subject ... Hmmm.

    I think both are okay. "I am looking ..." is less formal, as far as I can tell.
