Caution: A "rest room" is a WC in AE.

In AE ist "lounge" doch korrekt. Jedenfalls hieß das in dem Institut, wo ich studiert habe, so. Es war ein zum Flur halboffener Raum mit normalen Eßtischen, Sesseln und Sofas, einem Getränkeautomaten, einem Webster's auf einem Pult usw.

"Restroom" (wie auch "bathroom") wären in AE unmöglich!

Mir gefällt staff room ganz gut, ich glaube das kommt für meine Belange hin. Danke euch auf jeden Fall.

Not to disparage the other contributions, but what about "break room"? Seems very typical, at least in AE.

In Texas, we call 'em lunch rooms. Tea, coffe, water fountain and ice available.

wie wär's denn damit, ist mir zumindest schon in einer englischen Ausschreibung begegnet und google liefert auch ein paar treffer, wenn auch nicht allzu viele.
