Correct American English is: torn muscle (common). Much, much less common: torn muscle fiber. The German definition, Muskelfaserriss, includes "fiber," muscle + fiber + tear.

Medical term: a strain, e.g.: a muscle strain.

I couldn't tell you the common British English expression, but muscle strain will always suffice for both brands of English.

Incidentally, a "rupture," would accentually mean the same thing, but it's not the common term in U.S. English.
