phat adj 1. very good, excellent; COOL. ("That's a phat bike.") 2. attractive. Note: an acronym, "pretty hot and tempting," has been invented for the word. The acronym came after the original coining of the term.

In Deutsch wird das Wort zumindest in gewissen Kreisen exakt so verstanden. Nur schreibt man es nicht mit ph. Das könnte dann mit Onkel Hermès verwechselt werden cf. www.phettberg.at. Und das scheint für die genannte Fokusgruppe irgendwie abwegig.

Phat is an adjective in African American slang used to express approval. Hence, someone or something that is phat could be cool, rich, entertaining, intelligent, attractive or otherwise to be admired. When the word first surfaced in the 1960s, men generally used it to describe attractive, or "fine", women.
P.H.A.T. also means Pretty Hot And Tempting
P.H.A.T. can also mean Perfect Hips, ass and Tits.
Phat Li is a colloquial hindi slang, which loosely refers to being "stunned", "losing it", "scared". Literally, it translates to "Being Torn". (Phat = tear in hindi)
