    Danke....ja, Tag der offenen Tür passt nicht so. Also, es ist ein Tag der irgendwie an jedem Kursbeginn dabei ist oder sein kann....

    habe halt trial day (klingt aber zu viel nach Gerichtsverhandlung), try out day, orientation day

    They sale only one day ticket as Schnuppertag. The client can decide if he wants more. Perhaps on day for snowboarding and he/she decides he/she doesn't like it. I'm running by data bank to see if I can find something more useful to you.

    "taster day" is a good translation but would appear to be more of a British term if the cursory search on Google is anything to go by. Maybe a US colleague could enlighten us on the American preference.
